Food Pantry

We support a small FOOD PANTRY here in the Mission building.  Donations of food may be brought here and dropped off during office hours any weekday.  We welcome any outside donors!  Cash donations are welcome as well to purchase food.  Our Sunday School gives support by stocking up the pantry on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Our distribution setup is simple.  Clients may come any Tuesday or Friday between 9:00 & 11:30am  We require clients to sign a form and give a Social Security number for our records.  We box up the food in advance for each family. A person or family group can come once every two weeks (a week must be skipped between visits).

We now go the Midwest Food Bank once a month to help stock up the pantry. However, this is not enough to keep us stocked for the entire month. With the falling economy, our clientele has tripled, at least, in the last year, and we are doing our best to keep up with it. We get about 60 families each month who need our help. Your support is greatly appreciated by us and our clients!

Also, thanks to a couple generous donations, we now have a deep freeze and a refrigerator for our pantry, so any frozen foods or dairy products are certainly appreciated.

New Project
We are looking for local schools, businesses, & organizations to have an annual food drive for our pantry. Our goal is to have 12 groups. Each group would be responsible for one month out of the year. This would keep our pantry afloat for the entire year and get our surrounding community involved in our efforts to feed the hungry.
