Dear Friends of the Mission,
As many of you have probably heard, Terry Brecher, our long time head of the athletic department here at the mission, has officially retired.
It has been no easy task replacing him, but we have found outstanding gentlemen to help us with various aspects of Shade Park and the Mission. We are looking forward to putting their skills to work on our programs!
We are confident JJ Tassart and Josh Enos will be perfect additions to our Staff here at the Mission!

*Graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2006 with a Bachelor's in Recreation
*Employed two years at Park District of Forest Park as the Athletic Supervisor. Oversaw youth and adult athletics, fitness programs, education programs, special events, and summer day camps
*Relocated to Central Illinois to join fiance, Mallory Egert, PCHS social worker
*The Union Mission has been a part of my life since I was about 4 years old. I have participated in the program both as a player and as a worker.
*2004 All Mid-State 6 outfielder for Pekin Community High School
*Graduated from Western Illinois University in December 2008 with a Bachelor's of Business in Management
As Recreation Directors,
their duties are to:

Plan, organize, develop, and schedule baseball, basketball, and softball programs |

Hire and schedule umpires and referees along with other Mission employees |
|
Actively participate in developing new programs and attempts to improve the current ones |
|
Contribute to the Shade Park field and facility up-keep |
|
Organize and order new equipment |
