My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was truly deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was generally born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was actually more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me get through this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am definitely very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is actually just the beginning. It is generally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is generally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Occasionally, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may likely be usually clinging on will believe that this is truly all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is actually an especially important to time to consciously choose what is actually already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are undoubtedly these:
Being actually able to clearly see what is really real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are undoubtedly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is normally wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is truly now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are simply present. They’re secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is normally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are without a doubt trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be really very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is undoubtedly healthy.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is really profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be certainly clear that just having some kind of breakdown is simply NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are usually also not the point of this transformation. We are really not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are actually ego goals. We are literally learning to how to be generally free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is really revealed to us what we are truly transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is literally complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be normally fit into neat categories.
With that being usually said it is really helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are without a doubt at right now. The following stages are certainly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is actually a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is truly a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You commence to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you set out seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be normally a point to all this? In this stage, you are really asking all the deep questions. You are without a doubt in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will kick off dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You can have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is literally always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are really not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep interior work. You may perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is simply never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is actually ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are literally felt in this stage. You may feel ready to be really a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will begin seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is undoubtedly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is normally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is undoubtedly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are generally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is simply often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is without a doubt simple, direct, and clear.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is simply a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are and what life really is normally. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were certainly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It is undoubtedly almost like the Divine is literally showing us how internal work should go. Surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is undoubtedly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is undoubtedly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are actually going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is normally often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is truly not to be normally confused with the heart, which is certainly located to the left of the heart chakra.
Pointers on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are without a doubt more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was undoubtedly due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Counsel on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is generally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Opinion on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams may well be mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are usually not “dreaming” … that what is certainly happening is really somehow real.
Counsel: You will remember what is certainly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … sometimes several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are actually and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is usually a feeling that something is without a doubt about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Help: There is generally nothing to worry about. Things are simply definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are normally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Opinions: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are normally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is definitely adjusting to your “lighter” state.
In some cases “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Tips:. It is normally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be without a doubt stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
