My spiritual awakening process.

I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was really deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was born into.

Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was definitely more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

During this harrowing awakening process, I carried within me the unshakable sensation that I was actually falling endlessly through a void of darkness. I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me surf this confusing time. I stumbled upon a Soul Reading test that was normally extremely accurate. What Is Simply A Spiritual Awakening

A spiritual awakening is truly realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are forced to see how limited you have been really in so many regards. That bright light shining in the internal most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”

By the way, for all those who are generally interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am truly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is literally just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is simply an especially important to time to consciously choose what is literally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are simply these:

Unconditional love
Being able to clearly see what is generally real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are certainly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is truly wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were certainly acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is without a doubt now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are truly all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be without a doubt a feeling that there is definitely no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are present. They’re secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are generally being usually cured of the illnesses in which you have been actually living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is truly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are truly trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is literally healthy.

Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

1. You feel as though your life is certainly false

Everything that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is really your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

2. You craving for meaning and purpose

3. You begin asking deep questions

You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts might greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.

4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been literally taught is literally a lie

You create to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are actually not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.

6. You see through the illusions of society

Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You set in motion feeling as though you are truly a cog in the machine of society.

7. You see how unhappy most people are generally

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may possibly set up to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is really tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is literally in the world.

8. You want to ‘purge’ your life

You’re sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you start off paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is simply awakened and you might perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is without a doubt a pivotal point in your inner transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

10. You see that we are usually all One

Not only do you intellectually understand that we are literally all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. Why Does Spritual Awakening happen

People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual awakening is actually such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life.

If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person might kick off to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

A person who used to lead a life full of luxury may likely have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he may have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he starts to realize the deeper meaning of life. He may well get his spiritual soul awakened.

A dream is usually another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person can have a spiritual awakening.

3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is generally fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.

4. It sounds odd, it is usually not impossible that a person may perhaps face some paranormal incidents in his life which might possibly be normally magical or ghostly. Such type of experience might just result in the spiritual awakening of a person.

These may suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions might cause spiritual awakening inside that person.

Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are out from the reality. It is literally such a state of mind where you commence to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are generally in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is usually profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

The changes someone makes in their external life are certainly also not the point of this transformation. We are really not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are truly ego goals.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is simply revealed to us what we are without a doubt transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is usually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be certainly fit into neat categories.

However, with that being usually said it is truly helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you’re at right now. The following stages are actually general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

This is without a doubt a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You begin to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you set out seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are undoubtedly asking all the deep questions. You are normally in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You can become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper personal work

In this stage, you are without a doubt not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You can become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inner work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is simply common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is normally not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is certainly a complex and messy path, so it is truly perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is actually unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are undoubtedly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is normally often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is generally simple, direct, and clear.

So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is truly a good time to get out your ego peeler. Starting off running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are truly and what life really is. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is literally the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were without a doubt already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

That said, a lot of initial inside work seems to get done for us. It is really almost like the Divine is simply showing us how inside work should go. As such, surrender is another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is certainly vital to doing inside work, but initially, surrender must come.

With that said, surrender is not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is generally moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are generally going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is certainly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is usually not to be literally confused with the heart, which is truly located to the left of the heart chakra.

Opinion on how to deal:

Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be normally felt will keep them from being actually stored in the body.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are truly more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was really due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Opinion on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is simply causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is normally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Suggestion on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be without a doubt patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Often the dreams are certainly so real that you wake up confused. You might possibly even have lucid dreams in which you are usually in control. Many dreams might possibly be literally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are actually not “dreaming” … that what is simply happening is without a doubt somehow real.

Recommendations: You will remember what is literally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … frequently several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are really and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is undoubtedly a feeling that something is without a doubt about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Good advice: There is usually nothing to worry about. Things are definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are truly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Tips and advice: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are certainly ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is generally adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Frequently “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are actually healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Guidelines:. It is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be literally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
