My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was usually deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was generally born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was simply more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me surf this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am definitely very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is normally just the beginning. It is normally the light coming on in the house so that you can see everything for what it is literally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Frequently, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might perhaps be literally clinging on will seem like this is normally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is an especially important to time to consciously choose what is certainly already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are simply these:
Being certainly able to clearly see what is truly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are generally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is undoubtedly wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is really now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are literally present. They are normally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are truly being simply cured of the illnesses in which you have been generally living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is generally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are definitely trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be generally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is without a doubt healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is definitely false
Everything that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be actually false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is generally your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

You set out to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are generally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are certainly wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to individuals you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You initiate feeling as though you are really a cog in the machine of society.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you kick off paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is without a doubt awakened and you may perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. 7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is simply complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be truly fit into neat categories.
With that being usually said it is actually helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are certainly at right now. The following stages are certainly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are usually searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is undoubtedly a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you initiate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be simply a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are generally asking all the deep questions. You are simply in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will start off dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may possibly have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is normally always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may well become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper inward work
In this stage, you are literally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You may likely become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, internal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may likely feel ready to be actually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is usually common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is without a doubt not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is really a complex and messy path, so it is definitely perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is truly unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is normally an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are normally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is usually often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is actually a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are simply and what life really is usually. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were normally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It is really almost like the Divine is undoubtedly showing us how inward work should go. Surrender is actually another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is certainly moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is really often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is really not to be confused with the heart, which is generally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Advice on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be definitely felt will keep them from being generally stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are undoubtedly more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was simply due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Solutions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is generally causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is without a doubt hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Knowledge on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Often the dreams are certainly so real that you wake up confused. You might even have lucid dreams in which you are normally in control. Many dreams can be without a doubt mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are undoubtedly not “dreaming” … that what is undoubtedly happening is normally somehow real.
Guidelines: You will remember what is certainly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are certainly and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is truly a feeling that something is undoubtedly about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Tip: There is nothing to worry about. Things are simply definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are prayers. There is literally nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are truly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Good advice: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are simply ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is without a doubt adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Sometimes “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are certainly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Knowledge:. Keep in mind that it is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be normally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
