Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am really very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is literally just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is truly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are really these:
Being simply able to clearly see what is certainly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are undoubtedly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is without a doubt key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is actually wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were without a doubt acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are really all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be truly a feeling that there is literally no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are present. They are generally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is normally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are really trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is definitely false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be normally false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is literally your own. You no longer believe that yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.
2. You craving for meaning and purpose
You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is without a doubt, but you want to find it desperately. There is really a sense that something is definitely “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).
3. You begin asking deep questions
You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may perhaps greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been taught is without a doubt a lie
You start to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are definitely not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are without a doubt wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to all those you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You kick off feeling as though you are literally a cog in the machine of society.

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may start off to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is literally tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is without a doubt in the world.
8. You want to ‘purge’ your life
You are usually sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you start paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is simply awakened and you might possibly find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is actually a pivotal point in your inward transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.
10. You see that we are simply all One
You realize that our thoughts and beliefs influence reality, and that we are all fragments of one great Whole– that is generally, Spirit. At times this stage can take years or even an entire lifetime.

I want to be certainly clear that just having some kind of breakdown is certainly NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are undoubtedly also not the point of this transformation. We are literally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are definitely ego goals. We are certainly learning to how to be literally free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is undoubtedly revealed to us what we are really transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is really complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be fit into neat categories.
However, with that being certainly said it is simply helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are normally at right now. The following stages are actually general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is certainly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You start to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you activate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are actually asking all the deep questions. You are simply in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might probably have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is actually a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is normally about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is usually always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You can have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is certainly normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may possibly have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper inner work
In this stage, you are usually not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You can become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, internal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is really never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is undoubtedly ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are felt in this stage. You might probably feel ready to be generally a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will activate seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is generally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is definitely not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is literally a complex and messy path, so it is actually perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is simply unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is literally an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are undoubtedly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is literally often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is usually a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are really and what life really is definitely. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were certainly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is undoubtedly coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
It is literally almost like the Divine is showing us how inside work should go. Surrender is without a doubt another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is actually moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is undoubtedly not to be certainly confused with the heart, which is actually located to the left of the heart chakra.
Opinion on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be really felt will keep them from being usually stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are generally more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is really sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be without a doubt cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Tips and advice on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is actually causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is actually hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Help and advice on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams may well be normally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are actually not “dreaming” … that what is usually happening is normally somehow real.
Advise: You will remember what is really important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are undoubtedly and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is usually a feeling that something is actually about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Tips: There is normally nothing to worry about. Things are really definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are actually around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Support: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are usually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Guide: Ground yourself by eating protein. Occasionally “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are truly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Counsel:. It is usually best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be literally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
