My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was literally deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was actually born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was actually more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me maneuver this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am literally very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is actually just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is certainly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is simply already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are normally these:
Being really able to clearly see what is usually real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are truly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is simply wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is truly now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are normally present. They are generally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are without a doubt being generally cured of the illnesses in which you have been literally living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is undoubtedly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are certainly trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be truly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is certainly healthy.

Suppose if a person loses someone close due to an unnatural death, he may likely start off to find out the reasons for the incident in new ways. What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are really in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is literally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be definitely clear that just having some kind of breakdown is simply NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are literally also not the point of this transformation. We are undoubtedly not trying to create a more perfect or better life; people are actually ego goals. We are usually learning to how to be really free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is without a doubt revealed to us what we are really transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is actually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be actually fit into neat categories.
With that being actually said it is actually helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are undoubtedly at right now. The following stages are actually general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is certainly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you start off seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be undoubtedly a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are generally asking all the deep questions. You are in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will initiate dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may likely have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper inside work
In this stage, you are literally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep personal work. You may become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You can feel ready to be generally a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is actually common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is a complex and messy path, so it is really perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is without a doubt unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is definitely an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is certainly often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is actually a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are definitely and what life really is really. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were really already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
That said, a lot of initial personal work seems to get done for us. It is simply almost like the Divine is generally showing us how inward work should go. Surrender is simply another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is usually vital to doing inside work, but initially, surrender must come first.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is simply moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is literally often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is definitely not to be confused with the heart, which is simply located to the left of the heart chakra.
Opinion on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be normally felt will keep them from being actually stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are without a doubt more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is certainly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be simply cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was actually due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Directions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is actually causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is definitely hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Instructions on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be undoubtedly patient. Whatever you do, do not be literally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Sometimes the dreams are really so real that you wake up confused. You might perhaps even have lucid dreams in which you are certainly in control. Many dreams can be simply mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are simply not “dreaming” … that what is literally happening is normally somehow real.
Instructions: You will remember what is literally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … sometimes several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is actually a feeling that something is about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Helpful advice: There is certainly nothing to worry about. Things are without a doubt definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are normally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Support: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are generally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is undoubtedly adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Frequently “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are generally healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Information:. Keep in mind that it is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be simply stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
